Stress Management Tips

stress management tips

I think everyone needs stress management tips to help them cope. Sometimes we are so out of tune with our body, almost detached, that we have no idea when we are actually feeling ‘stressed out’.

This is when stress manifests itself in feeling ill or unwell. But there are signs to look for , even subtle ones, well before this happens. Getting sick seems to be the last resort. and the longer you’re under stress without recognizing it, I believe, the sicker you’ll be. I also believe people feel more stress when they are not following their life’s purpose. It’s like an underlying irritation that won’t go away, and you can’t figure out why you’re not happy.

Since stress is basically unavoidable, it’s important to find ways to prevent and aim to decrease stressful situations in our lives. And also start yourself on the path toward your life’s purpose. Below are some stress management tips that might help reduce the load, freeing up your soul to pursue your dreams:

Time Management

Don’t blindly accept the “I’m too busy” excuse as truth, when you know you have bigger goals and a higher calling.

It often feels like we’re so busy that there aren’t enough hours in the day to accomplish all the things in life that we dream of. This is when stress management can help you.

To find out if this is true for you, keep track of all the hours in the day and what you do with them. Do it for a week. write down what you’re doing every single hour of every day.

Do you surf online? Read? Watch TV? Daydream? Write it down, day-by-day, hour-by-hour. At the end of the week take a close look at it and ask yourself “Could I be spending my time on better things, tasks that will move me forward on my life journey and ambitions?”

Spending an hour a week on tasks that move you forward, towards your life’s purpose, will give you a feeling of aliveness and satisfaction.By focusing on what you want in your life, and taking action on it, you’ll feel less stress and more energy.

Be a Team Player

Prioritize your time by rating tasks by importance and urgency. Delegate the crap that you don’t love doing to others, who do love doing those types of things. We all know someone who likes to plan, get them to organize your birthday celebration, they’ll have fun doing it.

This will put an end to the procrastination you’re experiencing (because you didn’t want to do it in the first place). And you’ll gain a sense of accomplishment because it’s something you can check off your list. And, of course, it will free you up to pursue your soul’s desire.
